What God Says - The Heart's Cry

Psalm 107:1-3

Psalm 107 is a passage we should all study and reflect on.  Why? Listen to how it ends.

Psalm 107:43

This whole passage is about the love of God.

The psalmist gives four umbrella statements about the condition of men.

The psalmist gives one proper response to our condition.

The psalmist shows the love of God in that response.

Will you let God speak to you today?

Condition #1 -Psalm 107:4-5

The desert refers to a place where there is no satisfaction.

The city is a place of security and safety.
These are people who pursue life and life goals without consideration of God’s will and God’s voice.

Condition #2 -Psalm 107:10-11

The Word is the light; darkness is the lack of light.

These are people who have rejected the direction of God in their lives.

Condition #3 -Psalm 107:17-18

A rebel knows who should be in charge.

Condition #4 -Psalm 107:23

These are people who just went about work and life and discovered its pain.

None were pursuing the wisdom of God.

All were ignoring Him to some extent.

God could have written them off, but God’s love endures forever.

Psalm 107:6

Here is a biblical theme: we are held responsible to cry out to God if we want to hear His voice.

Proverbs 2:1-6

James 1:5

God’s love endures forever.
