Notes
Sermon Outline

1. “Much of the Bible is written in invisible ink. It doesn’t become visible until we really need it.”

2. Good Friday was the ultimate expression of God’s love while Resurrection Sunday was the ultimate demonstration of His power. (Romans 5:8and 1:4)

3. Saturday was the day sandwiched between a stiff challenge to faith in God and the validation of that faith.

4. We’re continually confronted by Fridays, and the Sundays that erase our concerns and validate our faith rarely come immediately.

5. A pandemic increases the number of Fridays we face!

6. No matter how and when Fridays arrive they always usher us into Saturday.

7. No one gets to live in an endless string of Sundays! Everybody spends time in Saturday. And there are no exceptions! (John 16:33)

8. On Saturdays we’ve already experienced the challenge to our faith but we haven’t yet experienced the healing and restoration God will bring.

9. If we aren’t careful the unavoidable emotions of Saturdays can give way to emotions we can avoid.

10. God has promised us our Sunday, and no Friday or Saturday can nullify a promise of God! (Romans 8:28 and 38ff)

11. God doesn’t take Saturdays off!  He simply works in ways we cannot see.

12. Most of God’s work goes unseen by us!  That’s why we need to trust His heart more than look for His fingerprints!

13. The effects of Saturday may linger after we step into Sunday.
