Matthew 6:22-23

In the passage we are looking at today, Jesus warns us about spiritual blindness.

Matthew 6:22-23

Remember, the eye directs us.

Jesus is giving us a warning. If the eye is bad, the whole body will be full of darkness.

This is a heart check. What is your eye attracted to?

Are you filling your heart with light or darkness?

When the darkness gets in, you lose perspective.

The darkness is great; be careful what you dwell on.

What does your eye turn to see?

What is in my heart?

Be careful that your mind and heart, meant to shine God’s wisdom and direct our actions, are not filled with poison that will mislead you.
