Matthew 27:50–51 (ESV)
The most secluded room in all of history was the Holy of Holies.
It is so common to seek the presence of God that we miss the privilege.
During the centuries of Israel’s existence, it was unheard of for common people to consider approaching God.
The penalty for such arrogance was death.
An amazing change took place when Jesus finished His work on the cross.
Now God is inviting anyone to approach Him.
You are now a person of access.
Two ways to access God.
1. The Word of God
Two of my favorite verses in the Bible.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV)
The Bible gives you access to God.
Hebrews 4:12 (ESV)
Why? The Bible is living. God takes His word and applies it to your circumstances today.
The Bible breathes faith, courage, understanding, and authority into our lives.
When you speak The Word of God His power will bring fruit.
The Word is profitable for you and equips you to do His work.
2. Becoming a person of prayer.
Ephesians 6:11–12 (ESV)
Ephesians 6:18–20 (ESV)
The natural has become so common that the spiritual sounds unreal.
We try to change things in the natural and never receive the fullness of the promise of God.
You are a person with access to God.
James 4:1–3 (ESV)
