Matthew 28:1-6

Resurrection Day is the most important day in our lives because:

  • The Bible is God’s word.
  • Jesus is the Son of God.
  • There is an eternity.
  • Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Romans 1:18-20

The claim is before you. Jesus is the risen Son of God.

If Jesus is the resurrected Son of God, His teachings show the way to the divine order of God.

God’s word is a sign that leaves us without excuse.

The glory of the resurrection is not simply that:

  • Jesus’ teachings are glorious
  • His miracles are glorious
  • God the Father raised Him from the dead

The glory of God revealed in the resurrection is that Jesus on the cross paid for our sins and that by faith in Jesus we can be born again.

The cross is a revelation of God’s love and grace.

If there is a resurrected Jesus then:

  • He is the Son of God
  • He paid the price for our sins
  • We can have new life in Him
  • This life is temporary and a new life is offered to us
