Philippians 2:14-16

Galatians 5:22-23

Joy and peace have similar traits.

A lot of things happen in life that bring us joy.

Most of the things that bring us joy on this earth are just that: earthly.

  • The earthly is shakeable.
  • The earthly is temporary.
  • The earthly can be taken from us.

When a person is at a dark hour of life, but they are still praying and worshipping God, the world listens. So does God.

This does not happen because of earthly joy. This happens because of spiritual joy.

Spiritual joy cannot be faked.

Two things that allow the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us:

  1. A knowledge of God –Psalm 28:7-9,Psalm 27:1-5

The knowledge of who God is will give you joy.

The knowledge of God’s love for you will fill you with joy.

If you want Spirit-based joy that is unshakeable, grow in the knowledge of who God is in your life.

Psalm 16:8-11

  1. The presence of the Lord brings fullness of joy.

Are you in fellowship with God?

How to get in fellowship with God:

  • In prayer, invite Him into your life.
  • In prayer, ask Him to give you wisdom in decisions.
  • Tell Him your circumstances and ask for His help.
