Prayer and Victory

2 Chronicles 7:11-15 

What do we need to learn?
Our battle today has a different look.

John 18:33-36, Ephesians 6:12 

You have to recognize the spiritual battle. 

We wrestle with powers and principalities. 

Powers and principalities influence:

  • Thinking

  • Culture

  • Our flesh

  • Our understanding and vision


They also try to

  • Fill us with fear and dread

  • Lie about right and wrong

  • Make us resistant and rebellious

  • Instill doubt


The enemy in our culture does not want to be seen or noticed.  

How do we enter the battle?

  • Humble ourselves

  • Pray

  • Seek His face

  • Turn from our wicked ways


He will heal our land.

Prayer is hard at first. 

James 4:2-3

Things that hinder prayer: 

  • Wrong motives

  • Not praying at all

  • Sin in our lives - Isaiah 59:1-2 

  • Idols in our hearts - Ezekiel 14:1-3
    An idol is anything we put before God.
  • How you meet others needs either blesses or hinders your prayers - Luke 6:38
    Your giving could be keeping prayers from being answered.
  • How you treat your spouse - 1 Peter 3:7 


Seek God in your life; let Him speak to you.
Ask to see the conflicts. 
Start praying.
