Key Point: Talk to God!

We…will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.(Acts 6:4, NIV)

Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.(Matthew 6:6, MES)

Key Point: Listen to God!

 1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son… (Hebrews 1:1-2a, NIV) 
 

There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.(2 Timothy 3:15-17, MES)

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:26, NIV)

Key Point: Honor God!

God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.(1 Corinthians 6:20, NLT)

Key Point: Spend time with God's family!

All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.(1 Corinthians 12:27, NLT)

19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.(Ephesians 2:19-22, ESV)
