Crossing the Line

Pastor Mark Johnson

Acts 1:8 (NIV)

I. Crossing the line of faith
One moment you are not in the Kingdom of God and the next moment you are.

I had to make a choice at the line of faith.
Have you made the choice to cross the line?

There is a journey to that line. In your small groups, talk about your journeys.
What led you to cross the line of faith?

The core value of being a witness shines through both the book of Acts and the AD series.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)

II. Crossing the line of love
Jesus’ death on the cross destroyed the hold of eternal death on us so that mankind could be saved.
Luke 19:10 (ESV)

As those who have crossed the line of faith, we are to hear His call of love.
Matthew 28:18–20 (ESV)
Acts 1:8 (NIV)

The Holy Spirit will come to give us power to be His witnesses.

To be His witnesses makes our call simple and clear.

My journey was not decided by an argument, but it was filled with testimonies.

When the Holy Spirit comes on you, He is there to empower you to be His witness.

Start having the “spiritual talk”. It is not an argument, it is a witness.
Matthew 5:14–16 (ESV)

You, your story and your personal witness are a light.
Isaiah 60:1–3 (ESV)

III. Crossing the line from this world to eternity
None of us have crossed this line, but one day all of us will.
