KNOWING YOUR GIANTS

1 Samuel 16:1

1 Samuel 17:32

The spiritual victories of today prepare you for the giants of tomorrow.

David’s reply was epic. 1 Samuel 17:37

David saw this event as being in conflict with the plan of God
Israel was not supposed to be subject to the Philistines.

To know your giants, you have to see issues in life that are not as God promised

David’s eyes were not on the size of the problem but on the size of the promise

David saw the battle as a spiritual one not a physical one.
Everyone else saw a giant against a man.
David saw a giant against the Living God.

When we see the giant we need to remember our God.

All of David’s life he will see his relationship with God through the eyes of a shepherd.

Psalm 23:1-6

When under attack, the role of the sheep is to make enough noise to get the shepherd to come.

Do you see your giants?
The battle that is keeping you from the promise and purpose of God.

Have you taken action?

  • Have you spoken to your Christian friends to pray about it?

  • Have you gone to a small group and asked for advice and prayer?

  • Have you brought it to a prayer night, and written it down for others to pray for?

  • Have you taken it to your appointment with God every day?

  • Do you see the hand of the enemy keeping you from victory?

Spiritual victories can only be won through God’s power

David was inspired by the promise of the king

Many don’t have victories because you see the giants as just a course of life to be dealt with, instead of a spiritual force of life to be defeated
