End Times and The Bible

The opening scripture is being read from NIV Bible.

Acts 1:3-11

The Bible claims to be the Word of God, the revelation of God to man.

The key difference between the Bible and any other book is its prophetic proclamations

Prophecy

There is the gift of prophecy which is inspired words of encouragement.

There is also the office of the prophet, who proclaims the inspired Word of God and foretells events of God.

Prophecy in the Bible is a proclamation of events to come.

The Bible is filled with prophetic proclamations. We have the benefit of being on the other side of the revelation for many of those prophecies.

We have seen the outcome and they confirm the power of God.

The Bible says God would restore Israel, not for their sake, but for His glory so the world would be without excuse

A unique part of prophecy is Eschatology or the study of end times.

Many of these end time prophecies we are seeing or are yet to see.

The establishment of Israel as a nation is part of end times prophecy.

Matthew 24:3-13

Just as there are many events that took place in Jesus’ first coming, there will be many events in end times.

The events that occur at the end of the Church Age seem to be happening now. Israel is a nation again.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

This is not the second coming. This is what we call the rapture of the Church.

The tribulation is part of end times prophecy, a time of trouble.

At the end of the tribulation, the second coming of Christ will happen and He will come as King.

His first coming was as the Perfect Lamb. His second coming will be as the King of Kings

God’s Word is God’s Word.

Matthew 24:36-42
