Mark 4:30-32 (ESV)
30 And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what
parable shall we use for it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which,
when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, 32 yet
when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants
and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in
its shade.”
Luke 17:5-6 (NLT)
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.” 6 The
Lord answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you
could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and be planted in the
sea,’ and it would obey you!
When you increase your faith, then you improve your life!
-The apostles request an increase in the quantity of their faith.
-Jesus replies that it is the quality, not the quantity, of faith that matters.
The smallest seeds can bring about the greatest deeds.
“We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love.”
-Mother Teresa
