Sermon Outline

Revelation 21:1-4

From the first coming through the second coming to the New Heavens, Jesus is about changing the condition of mankind.

The utopia we long for is available, but only if God is with us as our God.

From the Garden of Eden to a New Heaven and New Earth, God is fixing the broken.

Even now, He is calling those who follow Him to be new creatures in a fallen world.

His Spirit is here to help us. Are you willing?

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

God calls us to treat each other in love today, but the Word recognizes that we are not perfect. Right now, we see in a mirror dimly, only know in part.

In the New Heaven and New Earth, the old will pass away. The partial shall pass away. We will become complete men and women seeing Him face to face. We will know fully and we will be fully known and without deceit.

Imagine perfect kindness, no envy, no arrogance, no rudeness, no selfishness, no feelings of irritability, and no resentfulness.

God invites us to look forward to that day.

Jesus teaches us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

The new way to begin in us today:

  • Know the Word and recognize where we fall short.
  • Pray and ask Jesus to renew our minds and hearts.
  • Live connected to the Spirit of God.

On this Mother’s Day remember whatever we go through on Earth:

  • The old will pass away.
  • Jesus is with us. If we lean on Him, He will give us strength even when we don’t understand.

A New World can start in you today!
