MAIN IDEA: Do you sing because you’re happy or are you happy because
you sing?
Exodus 15:1–4 (NKJV)
1 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and
spoke, saying: “I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! 2 The LORD is my
strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I
will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. 3 The LORD is a man
of war; The LORD is His name. 4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has
cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
1. WE SING TO THE LORD

2 WE SING ABOUT THE LORD
Exodus 15:2 (NKJV)
2 The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation;
He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
Now there are two great elements in redemption - two parts to it. We may
say: redemption is by purchase and by power.
Jeremiah 31:11 (NKJV)
11 For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And ransomed him from the
hand of one stronger than he.
Ephesians 1:14 (NKJV)
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
3. WE SING FOR THE LORD
