Matthew 6:13 in the New Living Translation

The two sources of temptation:

  1. James 1:14-15 – Our own desires.
    • We are born with corrupted programming for the sense of right and wrong.
    • James 1:15
    • Psalm 119:9-10
    • So, we pray, “lead me not into temptation.”
  2. The Evil One
    • Matthew 6:13
    • The Evil One’s chief strategy for temptation is the lie.
    • Don’t let the enemy hang around.
