Sermon Outline

Matthew 6:5-8

Three assumptions:

  1. When you give to the needy,
  2. When you pray,
  3. When you fast

All of these are acts of righteousness that have been twisted and corrupted.

Jesus addresses an issue of hypocrisy.Luke 18:9-14

Jesus addresses the reason for prayer.Matthew 6:7

In Luke 18, Jesus is talking about the persistent widow.Luke 18:6-7

Jesus tells us to be persistent in our prayers for what is right before God.

Prayers in the kingdom of God that get the ear of God come from the heart.

Ephesians 6:12

Do you recognize where spiritual battles rage in your life? The enemy wants to be subtle.

Battlefields may be found in:

  • Relationships
  • Spiritual blindness
  • Discouragement
  • Hopelessness
  • Unawareness

Are you ready for a God-blessed life?

The 40-day prayer challenge is not a start and an end. It is a jump start to a life of faith and victory that will give you new direction in life.

Draw the Circle is not a book on how to pray. It is a book that teaches you to think, inspire, and expand.

We will give you three circles, but the key is in the first circle. The first circle is your circle.

  • Ask yourself “Is it in God’s will and for God’s glory?”
  • This is not putting God on a deadline. This is the beginning of a spiritual movement that you will seek until the God of heaven answers your prayers.
  • Start right now by asking God what you should pray for during these 40 days.
  • Ask what in your life is not what it should be. Where is the battlefield?

The other two circles:

  • For the church
  • For our generation

2 Chronicles 7:14

Two requirements:

  • Pray every day
  • Read a chapter a day

Here is the good news: God can open blind eyes. He can heal the deaf ear. He can raise the dead. He is the almighty God, and He sent His son because He loves us.
