John 14:12-14

How much authority do I have in prayer?

What does it mean to pray in Jesus’ name?

Praying in Jesus’ name is praying in the authority and will of Jesus.

Jesus came to do the will of the Father.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to do His will.

When we pray in His will, we can ask with great authority.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught on prayer.Matthew 6:9-13

Matthew 6:10

The “Kingdom” means God’s order.

“Your will be done” means what God wants done.

When I understand the loving mercy of an all-powerful God, His will is better than anything I could desire.

Some things are God’s will.1 Timothy 2:1-4

What about my wants, needs, and desires?

Matthew 6:11 – We have permission to ask for our needs.

Matthew 6:25-32

How to approach prayer –Matthew 6:33

Jesus tells us that at the highest level in our life, we should pursue the Kingdom of God.
