Four Truths

John 10:10

In many ways, Jesus’ teachings seemed upside down to the culture of the day
We should then consider how far He would have that teaching go today.

Jesus offers us life to the full, first through reconnection with God the Father and then with clear teaching on how to live life.

Proverbs 8:32-36
We find life and favor when we do life God’s way

1. Be Thankful - Colossians 3:15
Awareness of God’s goodness in your past and being thankful for it builds faith for the troubles you face today.

The wisdom of God shows us that the Best. Life. Ever. begins with a thankful heart for the good God has done in our lives.

Assignment 1 - In your appointment with God, take time to write down the good things God is doing in your life right now.

2. Don’t Be Quarrelsome - 2 Timothy 2:24-25
We are given three boundaries in our disagreements in politics, faith, and any other contentious issue.

  • Be able to teach

  • Be patient

  • Correct with gentleness

Assignment 2 -  In your appointment with God ask, “Was I easy or hard to be around today?”

3. Be Kind
Your life will brighten up when you brighten up.

Our spirit doesn't always want to be kind, so remember
Proverbs 8:34-36

Assignment 3 - In your appointment with God, ask Him to make you aware of times you could show kindness to others.

4. Forgive Others - Matthew 6:14-15
Forgiveness is letting go of abuses.

Here is what God is saying: “Forgive like you want Me to forgive you.”
What are we laying down? Bitterness, hatred, desire for revenge

The radical call of Jesus is to love.
Love is wanting the best for someone

Proverbs 8:35-36

Assignment 4 - In your appointment with God, ask Him to remind you of people you need to forgive. Then pray, ”Lord I know my heart needs cleansed of this wound. I submit it again to You today and I ask You to bless the one who wounded me.”

Jesus is the way to the Best. Life. Ever.
