I. What the Scriptures are sufficient 

to do: 

1. Cleanse our lives;John 17:17; 

Ephesians 5:26 

2. Produce growth in the believer; 

1 Peter 2:1-3 

3. The means of producing faith towards 

God;Romans 10:13 

4. Produce new birth or regeneration; 

1 Peter 1:23 

5. Critique the thoughts and emotions of 

our heart;Hebrews 4:12; Jeremiah 

17:9;Proverbs 28:26 

6. The ever present voice of God to His 

people;Hebrews 3:7-13 

7. Be the sword that repels the lies and 

temptations of Satan;Ephesians 6:17; 

Matthew 4:1-8 

8. Be the instrument to judge our 

conscience and behavior; 

1 Corinthians 11:31; 4:1-5
