The Wrap-Up

1 Peter 1:3-5

The problems with the world that need fixed, big and small, are all wrapped up in mankind.

The problem is that the problem has an eternal spirit.

In God’s grace, He had a way in mind to fix our brokenness.

We take the problem seriously when we give up on ourselves and put our faith in Jesus.

On one hand, the Holy Spirit identifies the sin nature in us.

On the other hand, the Word identifies what we are to become.

Let’s revisit what we’ve learned in this sermon series:

  1. We are called to love one another. We should want and work for the best for others.
  2. Romans 14:17 – The Christian finds joy in the presence of the Lord.
  3. Kindness is supposed to be in the spiritual nature of the follower of Christ.
  • Kindness begets kindness.
  • Proverbs 21:21
  1. One of the fundamental works in us has to do with God fixing our moral compass.
  • 1 Peter 1:14-16
  1. Jesus’ idea of the pathway to greatness is found in servanthood.
  • Mark 9:33-35
  1. Humility is the lynchpin of transformation.
  • Christian humility recognizes that all good things come from God.
  • Do I see myself as dependent on God?
  • Humility reminds me that God knows everything.
  • 1 Peter 1:3-5

God has moved to fix the world. The fix starts with us.
