Galatians 5:16-26
Mankind's sense of right and wrong has always seemed to be on this merry-go-round of everyone else is doing it.
Time and again it has been demonstrated that right and wrong cannot be justified by cultural norms:
It is to this issue that Paul writes and says when the Spirit comes into your life there is conflict between what you once felt was right and what the Spirit would lead you to do.
Paul clearly points out the acts of the sin nature or what we might call the character of the life without the Spirit of God.
Galatians 5:19-21
The person without the Spirit of God justifies all these actions and more as normal.
We justify our actions until we are confronted by them.
This is what the Spirit of God does in our lives.
In moments just like this…Galatians 5:19-21
The answer is to walk in the Spirit.
We start with the desire to do right; that leads to action that is right, that brings the transformation to being right.
This is the work of the Spirit in our lives.
Galatians 5:22-25
Against such things there is no law.
The law only revealed our error and our hopelessness, Jesus brought the answer and opened the door for real change.
Jesus is the answer and His answer comes not just in understanding but in transformation.
You were made for joy.
Joy is about the abiding hope and presence of God that lives in us.
We are supposed to be a shining light of the Nature of Christ.
