Week 2 - Faith and Connection


Hebrews 11:1-6 (ESV) 

Faith draws us into relationship with God and brings us to a place where God has an active part in our lives. 

God is not just observing our decisions and judging them; He is speaking to them and we are listening. 

God is not a distant figure we try to emulate. He becomes a daily influence in our lives. 

Let’s be clear… we are talking about The God of The Bible.  

This is personal and daily in our lives. 

Think about what this means:

  • In God’s presence, there is fullness of joy.
  • He gives wisdom to those who ask for it.
  • He guards our hearts with peace as we rejoice in Him.
  • He leads us into all truth so we know what life is about.
  • He makes our spirits become whole.  


Why wouldn’t you want this? 
By faith, our identity is found in God the Creator. We are the creation of God meant to experience His love and show His Glory. 



How do I walk in relationship with God?

1. Begin to talk to God all the time. We call this prayer. Matthew 6:9-13 (ESV)

  • Give honor to God.
  • Ask for His will to be done in all things.
  • Present your needs to Him. 
  • Forgive others.
  • Ask for purity of heart. 
  • Ask for deliverance from the enemy. 

2. Study His Word. 

  • The Book of John
  • Starting Point
  • Church
  • Equip


3. Spend time with believers.

  • C2 Small Groups


4. Worship. 

  • Recognize the greatness of God wherever you go.
  • See Him in all of your blessings. 


We were created by Him and live in Him. God made this possible by sending His Son, Jesus, to rescue us from our emptiness.
