Faith Sees

How do we see life once we have been given the lens of faith?

Hebrews 11:13–16 (ESV)

Faith corrects our vision by:

  • Making the promises of God real.

  • Making the world empty.

  • Making the promise more appealing than temptation.

  • Seeing with eternity in mind.

How does this apply in our lives?
1. Faith allows us to see ourselves through the lens of God’s love.

John 3:16 (ESV)

The Bible tells us over and over again that God loves us.

You need to know this and you need to be cautious with the truth of God’s love.

If you reject the love of God shown to us through The Son, you reject God

When you come to The Son, God will never forsake you.

2. Faith sees life through the lens of God’s purpose.

Matthew 6:19–21 (ESV)

1 Timothy 6:17–19 (ESV)

The person who sees through the lens of faith sees all he has as a gift of God, meant to be used for His purpose.

Malachi 3:6–12 (ESV)

Faith sees life as having purpose.

Faith sees the eternity in the temporal.

Do you see the eternal purpose of your life?

Hebrews calls to us all: You can be a hero of the faith.
