Mission and Witness

The activity we read in Acts is mission activity.

Mission: purposely engaging people with the gospel.

Witness: proclaiming the gospel in word and deed.

Your life should demand a gospel explanation. –Acts 4:13

Suffering and Persecution

If you are sent by the Holy Spirit on mission as a witness, at the very least, your life will be uncomfortable.

Persecution of the church actually expanded the gospel faster.

Acts 5:40-42

Acts 20:22-23

The Church

The word church - ekklesia - means “assembly.”

Acts 2:42-47

Acts is unfinished because we are still writing it.
