Sermon Outline

The bigger the picture we see of God the more we are humbled, filled with fear, overwhelmed, baffled, confused, and lost. The more detail we see about God the more we are filled with joy, thankfulness, peace, love, hope and faith.

The make-up of the One True God
Matthew 28:19, 2Corinthians 13:1

What we see in these two passages is a simple picture of the Trinity.

The word Trinity is not found in the Bible, but it is terminology that represents a biblical concept of God.

Matthew 3:16–17, John 14:16–17

God is numerically one being.
God is completely unique.
God is collectively one.
God cannot be divided into parts. John 14:16–17
