Not Afraid: Faith is Greater than Fear

Key Point #1:

There will be Trouble in this World.

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  (John 16:33, NIV) 

 

Key Point #2:

God is With Us.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” 
(John 14:27, NLT)

“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
 (Matthew 10:28, NLT) 

“Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. (John 14:1, CEV)

Key Point #3:

Live by Faith not by Fear

…we live by faith, not by sight.
(2 Corinthians 5:7, NIV)

…God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV) 

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:6-7, NIV)
