Sermon Outline

Acts 2:42-43

They devoted themselves

These things became the highest focus for their lives.

In this short passage, Luke tells us about the priority of life for the New Testament church.

What were the results of their actions? Acts 2:43

The atmosphere was changed and God moved in power.

When the church is defined by ease, the church becomes refined by persecution.

They devoted themselves to fellowship.

The biggest threat has been the loss of fellowship

This idea of what we are to do in encouraging or stirring each other is best expressed in the verses in the Bible that speak about responsibility to “one another.”

Read these verses this week and ask yourself,
“Am I doing this for others?”
