Ruth 1:16-18

The story of Ruth is a distinctly God story. 

It is a story that shows the love and grace of God to all mankind.

We can see Ruth moving from being cursed to being blessed. 

What can we learn:

Don’t tell me to leave you.

There is a double message for those who want their lives to be marked by God:

1. Naomi is the example.

Naomi set the stage for hope, even in a hopeless situation.

Will you dare to live such a Godly example that those around you will follow you in uncertain times?

2. Ruth chose to follow.

Here is the place to examine our lives: Have we found anyone worthy to follow? 

Many times the tough circumstances are not a sign of someone’s failure but a revelation of their character and yours.

Don’t urge me to stop following you.

Ruth’s commitment was total and complete.

Ruth said, “Your people shall be my people and your God shall be my God.”

Freedom from the curse is in following the truth. 

There has to be a determination that is complete and final.

The good news is that no matter where you come from God deals with you right where you are.
