The Unshakable Hope of Forgiveness 

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.(Romans 3:23, NLT)

…our iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.(Isaiah 59:2, NIV)

…there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1, NLT)

 

Key Point: Admit 

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.(Romans 3:23, NLT)

God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.(1 Peter 5:5, NKJV)

…each of our good deeds is merely a filthy rag. (Isaiah 64:6, CEV)

 

Key Point: Confess

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.(1 John 1:8-10, NIV)

Key Point: Repent
