The Revelation

Proverbs 9:9-12

If God is all powerful and God is good, why doesn’t He change the world?

We can be good, checking off the right boxes, and still be short of what God has for us.

Our first experience with God may be built around a fear of God.

Fear of God is a good place to start, but it is not the finish line.

There is more to following Christ than the things you are doing and not doing.

We are people with a sin nature going our own way; changing the world starts with us being willing to be changed.

God can’t use us to change the world, or even build a healthy life around us, until we get past the do’s and don’ts of faith and let Him speak to us about the fault lines in our nature.

When you don’t deal with character fault lines, they don’t remain the same; they grow deeper and wider.

The fear of God can keep us in the do’s and don’ts.

When you go deeper, perfect love casts out all fear.

He can use you to become a healing agent in your world.
