Claims of Christ - Bread of Life

Pastor Mark Johnson
September 6, 2015

John 6:35

Do not work for food that spoils: work for food that endures for eternity.

Our personal need becomes our reason to cry out to God.

When Jesus says He is the bread of life, He is talking about the needs of the spirit.

True hunger is what mankind experiences in his spirit.

The things we grasp in the present to satisfy the needs of the spirit are the cheap bread.

Jesus calling us to the greater need is the answer to many of our “why’s” that we might come to Him.

At the moment of why, you have the opportunity to have a key breakthrough moment with God.

Listen to what Jesus says a bit later to those who have stayed.John 6:53-58

When was the last time you got alone with God?

Show me a man of God in the Bible and I will show you a man who practiced feeding his soul in the presence of God.

Challenge: Get alone with God this week.
