Promises from God

Facing our Problems and Fears with Promises from God’s Word

1. When you are afraid of opposition from critics; Isaiah 54:17

“No weapon that is formed against you shall succeed,

And you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me declares the Lord.”

and…Romans 8:31 “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

2. When you are afraid of starting a new venture or opportunity that you feel God is leading you toward; Revelation 3:8

“Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut. I know that you have but little strength/power, and yet you have kept my word and not denied my name.”

3. When you are anxious about your finances - Philippians 4:19

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

4. When unbelief attacks your heart, fight back with Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

5. When doubt attacks, fight Satan with a “divine utterance” (rhema) from God’s Word and say “The Lord rebuke you” as Jesus said “it is written” in Matthew 4.

6. When you feel your ministry is useless and empty, fight this attitude with Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be which goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

7. When your strength and ability seem too little to face the task before you cling to 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

8. When you are anxious about a decision for the future; “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you” Psalm 32:8

9. When you are anxious about getting old; Isaiah 46:4 “Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you, and I will rescue you.”

10. When you are anxious about dying; Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for You are with me.”

Romans 14:8 - “If we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord, therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.”

11. When tempted to doubt if you will finish the race; “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
