The Dream


John 10:7-10 

Jesus proclaims who He is and He proclaims His vision for all people in John 10:10.

You are in the Father’s photo package.

The Father loves you.  

Why do so many miss the life to the full that God wants for them?

Proverbs 8:10-11   

They miss God’s plan because they ignore or reject His instruction.

Proverbs 2:1-5 

Our biggest heartaches come from two sources:

  • We go against God’s wisdom in our actions.

  • We fail to seek God’s wisdom in our decisions.

Just like you are on God’s dream list you are also on the devil’s enemies list. 

God has a great dream for you; the enemy wants to destroy you.

God is all about people.

Two thoughts to leave with today:

  1. How you see yourself. God has a great dream for you but you have free choice to pursue it or deny it.

  2. How you see the church. 

The church has a mission. 

Matthew 28:18-20 

This verse is known as the Great Commission. 

The church is healthy when it is filled with people who have found their fullness in God and desire to share that fullness with others. 

The healthy church has a growing core of believers who are on mission.

Are you on mission?

Two ways we must be on mission for our church to be healthy:

  1. Using our gifts to benefit others

  2. Being a witness to those far from God

The dream of God is that everyone will have life to the full here and in eternity.
