Chase The Lion - Week 4

2 Samuel 23:13-17

The hardest part of any dream journey is the holding pattern.

An opportunity is not an opportunity if you have to compromise your integrity.

A holding pattern is an opportunity to:

  • Grow
  • Trust
  • Prove your integrity

Two lessons learned:

  1. If you continue to seek God’s will, He will keep you from making the wrong decision.
  2. When God closes an opportunity, it’s because He has a better one.

Let people share in the struggle.

  • They have skin in the game.
  • That’s how you build a band of brothers, a band of sisters.

Learn to steward your miracles.

“God didn’t tell me I had to come out; He only told me I had to go in.”

In God’s culture, success isn’t winning or losing. It’s:

  • Obeying
  • Praising God
  • Giving God glory
  • Stewardship
  • When those who know you best respect you most.

Success is not the absence of failure.

Success is determined by:

  • How you handle adversity.
  • How you handle disappointment.
  • How you handle mistakes.
  • How you handle offense.

Even if it isn’t your fault, you can take “response-ability.”

Don’t let it steal your joy; let it fuel your fire.

Joshua 3:5

Hebrews 11:32-35

Hebrews 11:35-38

  • Were only half of these heroes in the will of God?
  • The will of God is not an insurance plan.
  • The will of God is a dangerous plan.
  • The will of God might get you killed.
  • But if God gets the glory, mission accomplished.
  • The eternal reward infinitely outweighs the temporal sacrifice.

Every prayer will be answered, every sacrifice will be honored, every good deed will be rewarded, and every seed of faith will bear fruit.

Revelation 21:1-4
