Parenting in the 21st Century
Reality vs. Ideal
Pastor Clark Pfaff

Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life. (Proverbs 22:6, GNT)

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6, ESV)

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. (Romans 3:23, NLT)

1 Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. 2 It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. 3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, NLT)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17, NIV)

21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. (Matthew 5:21-22, NIV)

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.(Matthew 5:27-28, NIV)
