Sermon Outline

Anchored in the God Who is Faithful
Pastor Clark Pfaff

Key Point: The Human Struggle with Faithfulness

7 So each generation should set its hope anew on God,not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. 8 Then they will not be like their ancestors stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God. (Psalm 78:7-8, NLT)

Key Point: The Unending Faithfulness of God

22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23, NIV)

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.(2 Timothy 2:13, NLT)

Key Point: The Response to Faithfulness

A. Trust

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV)

B. Remember

Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. (Isaiah 46:9, NLT)

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”(Luke 22:19, NIV)
