LovCross Words Part 4

Turn Around

Pastor Mark Johnson March 22, 1015

Have you ever had to make a turnaround in life? Here is what we need to understand as followers of Christ.

Jesus has come to get us going in the right way.
In this moment on the cross, we see one of the big turnaround signs in the way Jesus acted.

At the cross we see the uniqueness and value of human life.

If you would take time to study the religions of the world, ask yourself a simple question, “If everyone lived this way, would the world be a better place or a worse place?

If everyone followed Jesus the world would be a better place. Herein lies the uniqueness of man: we get to make a choice.

We can go our own way or we can turn around and follow Jesus.

This is what Jesus did for us on the cross: He opened a new pathway for us to get to choose.

He served us on the cross and continued to care for the needs of others even as he suffered.

Matthew 20:25 - 28 (ESV)Philippians 2:5 - 8 (ESV)

We are called to use our lives to serve others.
Do you want to be like Jesus? Then see yourself as a servant.

If our faith does not play out in the actions of loving service, then we have not really turned around.

Following Christ is not easy in this world.

Jesus is saying this today, “Take into your heart and care for what is in my heart to care for.”

When He knows we love Him, he entrusts us with what He loves.
