Where does a right mindset begin?

Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6 gives us true north. The compass by which we can set all of our directions. It shows us:

  • God exists.
  • God rewards those who seek Him.

In life, we have learned how to react.

We may know where we want to go. However, many times, we are lost, and we don’t know how to get where we want to go!

Life keeps leading us back to the same place of brokenness, worry, fear, anger, or disappointment.

The problem is that many times we have a wrong address pasted into our GPS.

Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6 is the address to all that is good.

Draw near to God. Live to please Him.

When we keep finding ourselves in the same broken and powerless conditions, it is a mindset problem.

When pleasing God is locked in, we come to some passages that give us step-by-step, turn-by-turn directions.

James 3:13-18

Beware of these streets:

  • Bitterness
  • Jealousy
  • Selfish Ambition

They are the old mindset. They are earthly, unspiritual, and even demonic.

The destination they lead to is disorder and every vile practice.

The right road signs are listed inJames 3:17.

These are the actions that are right and will make peace.

Another directional list is inPhilippians 4:8-9.

These two passages take some effort to apply.

What is truth?

Jesus is the Truth.

All of Jesus’ promises are true. You must know them for your situation.

Acts 2:21
