Lesson Two - The Goal of Life


Proverbs 1:7-9


Last week we talked about wisdom being the goal of knowledge. 

Wisdom boiled down is: how to act.

First Step of Wisdom: Fear of God.

Fear of God should drive us to obey Him. 

Matthew 22:36-40  
Why do all the commandments depend on these two statements? 

Loving God and people is the pathway to a wise life.

Loving God means I want to please Him.

What does loving people mean?  
Loving people means I do what is wise toward them.

Proverbs 1:8-9
The chief role of a mother and father is to pass on godly wisdom!

What if I didn’t have a godly mom or dad?  
God supplies the Word, the Spirit, and the Church.


Wisdom is what makes…

… life beautiful. 
Proverbs 3:13-15

… life happy or empowered.
Proverbs 3:16-18

…relationships better.
Proverbs 3:19-26


Security comes when you walk in obedience to the Word. 

Proverbs 7:1-3
Keep His Word.

Treasure His Word.

Cherish His Word.

Know His Word.

There is treasure in wisdom. 

Trusting God’s Word makes you wise.
