One Out of Ten

Luke 17:11-19

Jesus came to bring His gospel, salvation, healing, and wholeness to the entire world – even Samaritans.

In this story, God’s people did not come back to praise God or thank Jesus; only “this foreigner.”

Colossians 1:13-14

1 Peter 2:9

The more we recognize and appreciate that we have been called out of darkness, we should declare God’s praises.

Only one out of the ten lepers Jesus healed returned to thank Him and to praise God.

Giving God the Father and Jesus His Son thanks and praise for what They have done should be a normal and natural part of our lives as Christians.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

We don’t give thanks for all circumstances, but we are supposed to give thanks in all circumstances.

Philippians 4:6

When you bring your needs to God, don’t just present your requests, but do it with thanksgiving.

Romans 1:21 – a notice to all of us: Glorify God and give thanks to Him.

A life devoid of glorifying God and giving thanks to Him can have a terrible impact on both our thinking and our hearts.

Let’s all strive to be that one out of ten who remembers to both thank and praise God for all He has done and will do!
