Sermon Outline

The goal of this series has been to stir in you a desire to pray.

Ephesians 6:10-12

When the wind blows, you see the results.

In Ephesians, Paul is talking about certain powers in the heavenlies. That is the very atmosphere around us.

Ephesians 6:12

You are walking through an active battlefield every day. Do you walk through it alone, or do you want to walk through it with God?

Today, we don’t see these powers, but we certainly see their work. Can you see the results of the work of the unseen world even in your life?

You are already seeing the results of the battle.

  • What door was opened to allow the unseen world authority in your life?
  • If there is a battle in your life right now, how did it get a foothold?
  • Until you recognize that door and get it closed, that power will continue to work.
  • Ask God, and He will show you. It may be painful, but He will bring a solution.
  • James 4:6-10
  • Prayer leads you to victory, so walk with God on the battlefield.

Walking with God on the battlefield allows you to avoid some work of the enemy.

  • If you have an appointment with God and ask for wisdom, you close doors to the enemy.

Has the Church not done the spiritual work to stop the forces of evil in our world?

If you choose not to pray for the people and things you love, don’t be surprised to wake up someday to the evidence of a cosmic battle.

We are on an active battlefield. We need to walk daily with God.

Ephesians 6:10-18

Let us walk with God.

Three questions to ask God:

  1. Is there a spiritual battle going on in my life that I need to recognize today?
  2. Are there places that I am taking peace for granted that I need to invite your protection?
  3. What are the local, state, national, and world issues that I need to pray for daily?
