Colossians 3:1-4

When you have something big in the future you:

  • Prepare for it.
  • Look forward to it.

This is what Paul is saying to us inColossians 3:2

One of the great things about heaven is there will be no end date.

A heavenly mindset changes how we see the world.

John 14:1-3

God has appointed the time for our arrival, and we will not be late!

Luke 12:19-21

The word translated “required” refers to a loan that comes due.

Psalm 90:12

Thinking about heaven should fill our hearts with joy. It should also teach us to look at our actions to see if we are spending our lives as we should.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Questions to consider as we think about this future time:

  • Who do you want to be there with you?
  • What should you be doing so that when you arrive you hear “Well done good and faithful servant?” (Matthew 25:15)
  • What do you believe about the path to heaven?
